Flash Thompson is a friend of Peter Parker.
History[]
Flash Thompson was a former classmate of Peter Parker at Midtown High School. Friction between the two was a common occurrence, especially due to their competition for the affection of Liz Allan. Ironically, Flash became an ardent supporter of Spider-Man, despite popular opinion against him.
Hobgoblin Rising[]
Flash is working as a gym teacher for Midtown High. He is a recovering alcoholic who is getting help from Peter to stay sober. Someone recently has been leaving alcohol on his doorstep as a way to tease him.
Sacrifices[]
During class, he would find out that his student Drew Michaels had bruises he was hiding. This instantly angered him considering his abusive past with his father. He goes with Peter to deal with guards at a hotel that forcefully removed Drew. After this, he and Peter are attacked by the Vulture who Peter stops as Spider-Man.
Welcome to Spidey-Wood[]
He arrives in L.A. with Peter and Felicia Hardy. While Peter and Felicia go about their own business Flash goes on a studio tour where is asked to participate in a movie. After helping with the movie he came to the set where Mary Jane was filming her movie only to be put under a hypnotic spell by a mysterious man who did the same to MJ's fellow actor Riley Alexander. After a car crash Flash was left behind in the car in bad shape.
The Longest Night[]
He and Drew learned that Drew's younger brother A.J. Michaels had been killed by the Lizard. He went with Drew to identify A.J.'s body.

He tries to console Drew after his brother's funeral.
